What a wine pairing widget does
- Dish to wine. The visitor types or picks what they are eating and sees which wines from your range fit, each with a score and a one-line reason.
- Bottle to dish. On a product page the wine is already chosen; the widget shows the dishes it pairs with.
The difference from a chatbot or a hand-written "goes well with" line: the widget calculates. SommelierX compares the flavour profile of the dish (creamy, salty, acidic, umami, spicy) with that of every wine in your range. The result is a calculated match, not an opinion.
Where it earns its money
1. Less hesitation at the bottle
The biggest drop-off in a wine shop is uncertainty: "will this work?" A concrete answer on the product page ("excellent with grilled sea bass and mushroom risotto") removes it. You see it in the ratio between product views and add-to-carts.
2. More bottles per order

Installing it in ten minutes
- Create an account in the retailer portal (two minutes).
- Connect your range. Paste your shop address; SommelierX finds your product feed (Shopify, WooCommerce, Google Shopping) or reads your product pages. No feed? Upload a CSV.
- Paste the code. One line on your product page or in your theme. For Shopify there is an app, for WooCommerce a plugin.

Does a wine pairing widget work without Shopify or WooCommerce?
Yes. The widget is one line of code that works on any shop: Lightspeed, Magento, Shopware or custom. Shopify and WooCommerce additionally have a ready-made app or plugin.
What happens to wines the widget does not recognise?
The SommelierX team maps unrecognised wines to the right wine style for you; nothing to do on your side. Your dashboard shows how many wines are linked.
Can I try it first?
